Local band in Lucerne Switzerland! Louisiana MO’s own KING BENNY (formerly Pike Station) is backing their close friend SOUL BLUES LEGEND BARBARA CARR at the Lucerne Blues Festival this weekend in Switzerland. There’s a phenomenal lineup for this show, and Ben and the band have backed Barbara many times, but I’m sure that this has to be one of the biggest shows they’ve played with Barbara. All our best from your friends in the area, and we’re sure you’ll have a great set and a great time! Check out the lineup:
BLUES FEST BEING STREAMED ON THE WEB-From AUSTRALIA!
Here’s a copy of a recent e-mail that I thought folks might be interested in…
We are streaming our Blues Festival in Bridgetown (Australia) WA on the 10 and 11 of November this year, linked from our web site www.bluesatbridgetown.com
This is our 20th year and have a line up of 42 acts. Not all of the acts will be performing during the streamed video.
The main performance stage will have 6 cameras, video mixed and uploaded as Artist Sets or Brackets to create an almost live 24 hours of video. The video will be hosted through a cloud service provider so it will be available with fast access globally. The files will also remain in the Cloud service for a good period of time to view.
A DVD will be produced from the quality video for purchase after the Festival or pre-order and save on the purchase.
We are a small community of only about 3,000 people and the Festival needs to grow through this online delivery to stay sustainable.
If you could send out an email to your members it would be greatly appreciated and I think they would enjoy it to as there will be lots of local content from our huge Saturday street party as well.
Please consider my request its full of great Australian Blues Music from Down Under.
Very much appreciated, Blues at Bridgetown Media Co-ordinator
