It’s OUTDOOR BLUES SEASON!
Just a reminder-that outdoor Blues Fest Season is here…If you’ve never experienced it, you’re missing out. Make plans to attend a couple fests every summer-try several, and find the ones that you’ll plan to make every year. There’s plenty to chose from-both big and small. But-even the big ones have a very friendly atmosphere. And speaking of atmosphere, those can be very different as well.
Keokuk IA, and Peoria IL have fests coming up on their riverfronts. Kirksville MO has TWO fests every year, one in the spring and one in the fall, and they are both held in a big old historic round barn! COMO (Columbia MO) has their festival on the streets of downtown, and in some local parks. So as you can see, you are certain to find a couple to make annual pilgrimages to. These are just a few, there are great fests all over our area, and around the country every summer. On our Resources tab, there’s a link to practically every fest in the country…so go have a great time and help keep the Blues alive! (Details and links are on our LIVE EVENTS PAGE).
Also, on another note: The MMMWBS is now holding its monthly meetings at the TOWN & COUNTRY INN & SUITES, 110 N. 54th St. in Quincy, in their lounge. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, and we encourage our members to attend.
