Quincy native releases his first Blues CD…

2 Aug

Career musician, Quincy native (and childhood friend) Charlie Glasgow has just released his first Blues CD. His band is CHARLIE AND THE FEZ KINGS, and the CD’s title is “PLAY ME SOME BLUES”, (one of two original songs on the disc).

Charlie pays homage to many of his favorite Blues Classics, and also puts in two of his own original tunes onto the CD-The title track, and the song “Too Many Lies”. He told me that he had a great time putting the disc together, and that his next CD will be of all original material. You can check out some samples of some of the music, on this link to his bands website:http://www.charlieandthefezkings.com/  Just go to the link below his picture on his homepage to go to CDbaby.com, and from there you can preview the tunes. Or you can also go to amazon.com and search for Charlie And The Fez Kings, and you can sample music from there also.

I’ll be playing some tunes from the new CD, and talking a bit about my lifelong childhood friend on Blues Till Noon on 103.9 The Fox early in the 9 o’clock hour on Sunday morning 8/7, so tune in–and I’ll tell you a secret about Charlie and his new CD…Jerry D

Thank you Jerry so much! I can’t tell how much I appreciate the home town support and all the hard work you
do for the other blues artists and fans back home! I sure do miss Quincy and will have to set up a show back there sometime if you can suggest a good blues venue!
